Fiscal Year 2027 Town Budget Information

July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027

The Town Council will begin the FY27 Budget review process on Saturday, November 1, 2025, with initial staff presentations of their budget requests for FY27. A minimum of six budget workshops will be held in November and December. All budget work sessions are open to the public. The Council will also hold two public hearings on the budget in December and January.

Meetings are held in person in the Moose Hill Council Chambers in the Londonderry Town Hall and are presented live on the Town’s government Cable Access (GOV-22) and YouTube channels. Public comments on the proposed budget can be made through the online FY27 Budget Comment Form, in person during public comment at Town Council meetings, in person during the public hearings on Monday, December 15, 2025 and Monday, January 19, 2026, or at the Town Deliberative Session on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

The public hearing for the Town Council to adopt the FY27 budget and vote on the warrant articles will be on Monday, January 19, 2026. The Town Deliberative Session will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The annual Town and School election will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. 

Public Participation

The Town of Londonderry welcomes and values public input. Community voices help shape decisions about how Town resources are used and ensure that priorities reflect the needs of all residents. There are several ways to get involved and make a difference:

  • Attend Budget workshops in November and December 2025 (November 1, 3, 10, and December 1 and 8, 2025). The workshops will be held in Moose Hill Council Chambers of Londonderry Town Hall, 268B Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
  • Speak during the Budget public hearings on December 15, 2025 and January 19, 2026, held in Moose Hill Council Chambers of Londonderry Town Hall, 268B Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
  • Use the FY27 Budget Comment Form to contact the Town Manager and Town Council to ask questions or provide comments.
  • Email a specific Town Councilor or Budget Committee member.
  • Attend the Town Deliberative Session on February 7, 2026 at 9 a.m. in the Londonderry High School Cafeteria, 295 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
  • Vote at the Town and School Election on March 10, 2026 between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the Londonderry High School Gymnasium, 295 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.

Annual Budget Review and Adoption Process (2025-2026)

The formal budget review and adoption process for FY27 is as follows:

  • June to October - Review of proposed Capital Improvements Program by the Planning Board and CIP Committee.
  • August - The Town Manager issued instructions to Department Heads on the preparation of budget materials.
  • September - Instructions issued to outside agencies requesting funding.
  • September - Department Heads develop and submit proposed budgets and strategic plan objectives.
  • October - Review of Department Heads' budget submissions by the Town Manager and Finance & Administration; finalization of budget for presentation to the Town Council and Budget Committee (no later than October 24, 2025).
  • November - Initial Town Council and Budget Committee review of the Town Manager's proposed budget in Saturday, November 1 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Town Manager reviews outside agency funding requests.
  • November to January - Budget workshops are scheduled for November 3, 10, and 17, December 1 and 8, and January 5 and 12 (if needed). Public hearings on the budget are scheduled on December 15, 2025 and January 19, 2026. 
  • January - Citizens' petition warrant articles are due January 9 (if proposing a bond) or January 13 (no bond), 2026; Town Council finalizes the warrant for the deliberative session; Town Council and Budget Committee vote on recommendations for all warrant articles; filing period opens for municipal elected positions.
  • February - The Town holds its deliberative session on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in the Londonderry High School Cafeteria; the Town finalizes the annual report and submits it to the printer.
  • March - The annual report is available no later than March 3; the Town and School Election is held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in the Londonderry High School Gymnasium.
