New Residents to Londonderry

If you are a new resident to the Town of Londonderry – welcome! Our Clerk Assistants will need some documents from you in order to help you establish residency in Londonderry. What you need depends on where you are coming from.

Moving from Another New Hampshire Town or Within Londonderry

Please visit the Town Clerk's office with the following documents:

  1. A completed DMV Record Change Request Form
  2. One acceptable proof of residency document (see below)
  3. For cars already registered in New Hampshire, bring your current registration and your driver's license
    1. For new vehicles, please follow the instructions in Registering a Newly Purchased Vehicle. First, we will update your address and then we will register your vehicle.

Moving from Another State

Please note that all owners must be present to sign the New Hampshire Title Application. 

Please visit the Town Clerk's office with the following documents:

  1. One acceptable proof of residency document (see below)
  2. Your current out-of-state registration
  3. Your current driver's license. An out-of-state license is acceptable.
  4. If you own your vehicle outright, we need the title to your vehicle. Please bring the original as copies can not be accepted. Your vehicle will be retitled in New Hampshire and the title will be mailed to you.
  5. If you financed your vehicle and do not yet have the title, bring a copy of all pages of your bill of sale or lease agreement. This will contain all the information we need to process your title and registration, including the lien holder information.
  6. If you are getting vanity plates, please complete a DMV Application for Vanity Plates.

Acceptable Proof of Residency Documents

  1. A bill that is tied to the home:
    1. Mortgage statement
    2. Utility bill
    3. Payroll stub
    4. Bank statement (please black out account numbers)
  2. Your closing documents
  3. Your lease agreement
  4. A notarized letter from the property owner stating that you permanently live there
