About Leadership Londonderry

The Town of Londonderry is excited to announce the return of Leadership Londonderry, a signature civic engagement program launching again this fall. Beginning September 11, 2025, this dynamic initiative offers residents a rare, in-depth opportunity to explore the inner workings of local government and to become more actively involved in shaping the future of their community.

Designed for residents who are eager to understand how their town operates, Leadership Londonderry spans ten interactive sessions, held every other Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Through tours, presentations, and discussions with Town leaders and department heads, participants will gain firsthand insight into municipal operations and services that impact daily life.

Session locations include Town Hall, the Fire and Police Departments, the Department of Public Works Garage, the Senior Center, and other critical town facilities. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with staff, ask questions, and collaborate with fellow residents who share a passion for civic responsibility.

Who Should Apply?

If you’re a Londonderry resident aged 18 or older who cares about your community and wants to make a difference, this program is for you. Previous participants have gone on to occupy many different elected and appointed positions, such as Town Council, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Planning Board, Trustees of the Trust Funds and Town Moderator. Whether you're new to town or a lifelong resident, Leadership Londonderry offers valuable knowledge and connections that can help you become a more informed and empowered citizen.

Enrollment is limited to 20 participants, selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Participation is free, but space fills quickly. Applications will by accepted until August 31, 2025 or when the class is filled. Early registration is strongly encouraged. Applications are available online or in the Town Manager’s office.
