Beautify Londonderry

Mission

Beautify Londonderry is a town-wide event that takes place every fall and spring. Volunteers clean our natural spaces and create a welcoming landscape habitat for all who visit and live in Londonderry. Our volunteers are residents, local companies, groups and organizations of all ages. Some groups focus on litter along the roadways while others make improvements to the community landscape.

The Beautify Londonderry Committee is responsible for:

  • Organizing the spring and fall roadside cleanup events
  • Coordinating DIY Clean-Up kits at Leach Library
  • Partnering with companies for the Sponsor-a-Road program
  • Granting funds to area groups for the Sponsor-a-Spot program
  • Maintaining our Town of Londonderry Welcome Signs

All this is accomplished through the efforts of the volunteers and the generosity of Beautify Londonderry sponsors. With the help of sponsors we are able to provide work gloves, safety vests, trash and recycling bags, mulch, and plants. The goal is to make the clean-up activities as safe and as easy as possible. If you are interested in volunteering or sponsoring the event, please complete the appropriate registration form.

2025 Campaign:  Clean Up the Welcome Signs

Our beautiful custom wood Town of Londonderry Welcome signs are 19 years old and are showing significant wear and tear from NH weather (and one bullet hole). The five signs are significant landmarks that distinguish our town with the help of our three landscaping teams: Shady Hill Greenhouses, Artisan Landscapes and Groundhog Landscaping. The committee has investigated repair for the signs and cost estimates are close to $20,000 for all five signs. Throughout 2025 we are raising funds for the repair of these signs. Thanks to our first donor, The Londonderry Police Association, we have $19,000 to go. If you are interested in donating to our funds, please reach out to our chair.

Welcome to Londonderry Sign
