Boards & Commissions
Purpose
Londonderry’s boards and commissions exist to connect residents to town decision making and to carry out duties assigned by law. Some are established by the New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated, for example the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and others are created under the Town of Londonderry Charter or municipal code to meet local needs. Together they provide expert advice and make required regulatory decisions in public meetings, keeping town actions lawful and rooted in community input.
Town Council, Leach Library Trustees, Budget Committee, Cemetery Trustees, and Trustees of the Trust Funds are boards where the members are elected by Londonderry's citizens at the Town election every March. All other board members are appointed by or confirmed by the Town Council.
